SKILLS REQUIRED FOR COMMUNICATION DESIGN

The ability to juggle many projects, be a creative problem solver and conceptual aptitude are necessary skills for visual communications designers. The companies they work for expect a visual communications designer to be familiar with advanced design software and technology.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Design or related field

  • 3-4 years experience in an agency or in-house design role.

  • High level attention to detail

  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR COMMUNICATION DESIGN

  • Develop a clear brand message in all communication pieces produced by the organization and its direct associates (clubs).

  • Design and collation of the Annual report as directed by Company

  • Design and collation of the Informer each month as directed by company

  • Graphic design management for all branded events in conjunction with the Events Co-ordinator or associate.

  • Management of the image library and ensuring that the photos and videos are correctly categorized.

  • Design of all artwork required for website, facebook, twitter and other online mediums

  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of all brochures, magazine and press advertisements.

  • Monitor and maintain quality and ensure accuracy and consistency of all brand material

  • Project management of a wide variety of projects from concept through to final production

  • Provide thought leadership on design strategy for all communications
